As the Chairman of the Paschimbanga Rajya Sangeet Akademi, it is my honour to be a part of an institution that stands as an inspiration for the preservation, promotion, and advancement of music in our beloved state and beyond.

Since its inception, the akademi has been steadfast in its commitment to fulfilling its multifaceted mission. We have strived to organize and host a myriad of music performances, festivals, and competitions, each one a testament to the diverse and rich musical heritage that thrives within the heart of West Bengal. These events not only serve as platforms for showcasing talent but also as avenues for cultural exchange and appreciation.

Central to our vision is the aspiration to inspire and empower the next generation of musicians. Through various musical initiatives and workshops, we endeavour to nurture budding talent and provide them with the guidance and resources needed to flourish in the world of music. The goal of the akademi is not only to produce skilled performers but also to instil in them a deep appreciation for their cultural roots and traditions.

In line with this vision, the akademi is dedicated to conducting programmes both in traditional and contemporary music forms of West Bengal.
